國立歷史博物館圖樣介紹：

此件為「史博紋樣系列」《白鹿紳士》，構想源自《漢白鹿瓦當拓本》 、《漢白虎瓦當拓本》、《漢玄武瓦當拓本》 、 《漢白鹿瓦當拓本》 。

青龍、白虎、朱雀與玄武常被稱為「四靈瓦當」，被廣泛應用如廟宇雕刻或彩繪等，作為吉祥的題材。

National Museum of History Introduction：

This piece is "White Deer Gentleman" from the "Historical Museum Pattern Series", and the concept is derived from "Han White Deer Tile Rubbings", "Han White Tiger Tile Rubbings", "Han Xuanwu Tile Rubbings", and "Han White Deer Tile Rubbings".

The Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermillion Bird and Black Tortoise are often referred to as the "Four Spirits Roof Tiles" and are widely used as auspicious themes in temple carvings or paintings.
